Need Tires

My sister has a '99 SR5 4X4 and needs good all season tires for Colorado Snow. What do you 3rd gen guys recommend buying. She doesn't do any off road but doesn't want a tire that looks like it should be on a mini van. She does mostly city but a little highway driving. Also do you think LT, P, C....??
I was thinking the BFG 31X10.5 X 15.... is stock 225/65/15?

Make sure she doesn't have 16" wheels first. Most of the door jam tags say the 3rd gens came with P225/75R15s, but the vast majority were swapped out to 16s either by the dealer or by previous owners. If it does have 15s, then the 31x10.5R15 BFGs will do well in snow and on road. If she has 16s, then get some LT265/75R16s (~31.5x10s).

For snow, IMO nothing can beat Goodyear Duratracs but if you get them, I recommend getting the 6 ply (112Q) rated ones because IMO the 10 plys are too stiff for our 4runners.

Dueller A/T Revo. Hands down the best winter tire I have ever had. Mileage is also outstanding (60k+). Get them in an E rating, and they will last for a very long time.

Just installed some Deuler A/T 695s and I couldn't be happier with them.
It feels like they put new shocks on my truck compared to the Michelin Cross Terrain SUVs I had on before. The tread looks very similar to the REVOs - aggressive and yet quiet on the highway.
I went with the stock P265/70 R16s that my 2000 came with.

P series for the lady...

If it's the 15s a 235/75/15 fits nicely. Is money an object? If yes I would check into the Hankooks at Discount Tire.

If its the 16s stick with a 265/70/16 if she has the front mudflaps. If money is no object I have yet to hear anyone say one bad thing about some Michelin passenger series.

LT not needed if she never off roads or tows. P series ride a bit softer. And I am guessing by now the truck has butt sag so don't even get us started on that topic....we'll have her lifting it in no time.

When I got mine (out of Denver) it had Fortera Tripletreds on it and they look decent. Definitely fit the bill for what she is looking for.
