Need Your Help!!

I am going to be driving my 95 from Chicago out to Oakland for a new job and I am hoping to tow a small (5x9) trailer with some of my stuff to live off of until my house hold goods arrive. I am a bit concerned about a slight sag in the rear of my truck.

Should I spend the cash to get the rear leaf springs changed or some other fix (coil overs or something) before heading out?

Is there any other "must do's" before I head out that someone can recommend that may save me from getting stranded on my trip?

My baby has 174K of well cared for miles and I'd hate to lose it on this trip.

if you load the trailer right it shouldn't be much of a problem. try to balance most of the weight over the axle of the trailer and not towards the front. More tongue wait on the trailer will increase the amount of sag in your rear suspension and decrease your 4runners handling.

also be sure to check the wiring from the trailer hitch and make sure all lights work. I would make sure your brakes are functioning properly and have a good amount pad left. other than that, do the speed limit and stay in the right lane unless you have pass. Have a safe trip
