Need your input...

I'm about to replace my stock XREAS with Bilstein 5100's, which are adjustable and have settings a 0", .8", 1.25", and 2.5". I will keep the FJ springs, which will add another .5"-.75" on top of the previous numbers. My question is this: which setting? I can put the rear anywhere I want it by adjusting my air bags, so it will be level. I'm keeping the same tire size, and I'm afraid if I go with too much lift the tires will look small. Any opinions on this? The price is the same, so I'm thinking I will set on the highest setting. Here's a couple pics of my 4runner as it is now with stock rear height and 1.5" in the front.

I've got 265/65s on mine & have mine set at the 1.75" (third notch up) setting and I think it is perfect. I am running stock springs too. I am afraid that if I go up to the 2.5" setting it will make the tires look too small. If you do decide to go up the the 2.5" setting, I would love to see a pic of it. I am getting a 1.5" spacer lift installed when I get my rear 5100s in (hopefully in a couple of weeks). And I've been thinking about possibly raising the front up a little more once I get the rear lifted.

My guess:
The .85" setting will be 1.25", + .5" from the FJC springs = 1.75" or close to 2" of Front Lift.
The 1.75" setting will lift the front to 2", + .5" from the FJC springs= 2.5" of Front Lift.

These are pics of my 4Runner out of the .85" setting and only stock springs. Imagine if I did the 1.75"..it will look nose high..how much more if you have FJC springs which is also known to lift the front .

I have the front adjustable Bilsteins and 1.5 daystar back spacers...the first 2 pics are with the stock 265/65 tires... and the last crappy pic she is wearing 265/70/17 and I think she looks good. Your tires are taller so I think they should look just fine...

BTW I will be getting rear Bilsteins soon to match all around.

How high can the air bags go up? Unless they can go a good bit higher than the 1/4" I got out of FJC springs then I also wouldn't recommend any higher than 0.85" with your FJC springs. I sometimes think mine looks front high on occasion. Down the line you may want to get FJ springs and some rear spacers (or can you with the air bags?) then you could raise the front more.

Also remember when you raise the lift setting it's going to increase the stiffness of the front suspension.

Thanks for the comments, definitely gives me something to think about. I have the oem rear air suspension and it doesn't use coils, so the rear fj coils won't work. I can go up about two inches in the rear. Anyone else getting more than the stated amount of lift? If so what engine do you have and are you 4wd?

i'm thinking about getting the 5100s as well...but not sure what the .85 perch will get me with my current setup with FJC springs and 1" cornfed spacers.
