Need your opinion on something stupid I did

So today when I was taking out my rack and pinion and front LCA. I had a strap holding the whole front suspension. I didn't even notice, but I had pinched my OEM LBJ. And a lot of grease pushed out. The LBJ is under 10k miles. So it's basically brand new. My question. Does toyota sell grease? Should I just get a new LBJ and keep that one as a spare trail one? I know, it's stupid of me. But again, a lot of grease pushed out of the bushing !!!! I was thinking of using a needle to squeeze some new grease in there?

The OEM ball joints use a white soap based grease. I can't say exactly for sure, but might be calcium sulfonate or polyurea. So compatibility with your standard over the counter lithium grease is not guaranteed. Maybe someone here can chime in on what grease type this is.

When I bought my OEM upper ball joints they came with a little packet of grease, but my OEM lowers did not. I agree with @nobb, putting more grease in there probably isn't going to be hard, but finding a compatible grease is going to be difficult

Not worth it. Just chalk it up as an error, learn your lesson and move on. At least you'll have a decent trail spare. Not worth the risk for $90 or whatever a new LBJ costs.

I second this! There are no stupid things to do, only stupid comments. We have all heard the stories of LBJ failure, why risk it. As Unner says, you'll have a decent spare that will get you out of the bush if needed. I'd be worried that if you keep using it you might get water in there which won't be good.

It's good to have a spare. I've seen a failed lbj on a toyota out on the trails. Cv and lbj good trail parts to keep around.

Yeah. Even though a lot of grease pushed out. I'm sure it will bring me back home if one breaks.
