Needle Bearing Issue

Hello
I have 2017 4runner with the classic needle bearing cyclical differential Groaning/Grinding Cyclical Noise. I have had the typical experience at the dealer where they could not produce. I am out of warranty now and looking to replace the truck with a new Sequoia or 4runner this summer. I have a few long ski weekends planned. Should I be concerned about b the truck breaking down because of this issue?
Thx

Crazy this is the first forum on which I’ve heard them called needle bearings - if I’m thinking of the correct part - which I imagine I’ve always heard to be the “wheel bearing” (the ones pressed into the hub, right?)
