neeed help!!! worrdied as hell!!!

hello i have a 1990 toyota 4runner and i just recently noticed that when im in 4hi and i turn my car off, few seconds after it makes a weird noise and kinda moves the car. i don't know exactly how to describe the sound but its not loud. i don't know if this is a bad thing or what but i would like to know so if someone could help me that would be great!!

I have a '92 and it does the exact same thing. Freaked me out a little first time it happened too. I'm not 100% sure this is the cause, but I know my front shaft U-Joints are pretty shot (next on the list after I finish my engine swap). You may check yours, you might luck out and have a cheap fix! :banana:

yes i will try and get a video of the sounds when i have time. and ill have to check the u-U-joints soon then!!!! hopefully its not a exspensive fix!

Does the noise come from the front or the back?

Well need to be able to hear it to help you better.

If you take it out of 2wd before shutting it off, does it still make the noise?

no it does not make a noise when i turn it off in 2 wheel drive.
