Nerf bars vs sliders

hey guys, so I have been at a crossroads with sliders. Personally Im really wanting to go with a set of Savage sliders with kickout but my gf is literally only 5' and already has difficulty getting in my truck. Recently Ive been running with just a passenger side running board (yeah, I know, sad) so Ive got this lop-sided 4runner . Anyways to my questions:

In general what gauge steel are these?

Will these get me hung up on rocks?

Realistically how well would these hold up off-roading?

Anybody wanna buy my running boards?

no idea but i would guess not as thick as sliders
Will these get me hung up on rocks?
yes. Also take a look at how much they hang down. Will you even gain any clearance?
Realistically how well would these hold up off-roading?
the tacoma guys I know that have these take them off when they wheel. Or ditch them for sliders if they need them

I'm gonna tell you to go with sliders. I'm not sure about savages but my Stubbs sliders stick out far enough that they can be used as a step very easily. Plus with sliders you dont need to worry about how they will hold up or how thick they are! And a pic to show the "step" that my sliders provide.

Heres what the style Im looking at

If you plan on doing any off roading at all, where you might actually need a slider, those will be absolutely horrible. Those steps will prevent your sliders from doing what they do best, sliding. Just think if you were to come down on a rock, you could either break those steps off, have them push your sliders up into the body, or get you hung up on something that a regular slider wouldn't normally get stuck on. Those are great for trips to the grocery store, but I think the are kind of pointless, and limit your potential if you plan on actually going off road.
