Was doing some research and came across these:

N-fab: Manufacturers of Nerfsteps, Prerunners, Harley Bars & Truck Accessories

for those of you who want nerf steps.

Its funny in the description it says Trail Edition Only! but in the pic its showing an SR5. :bravo:

I just talked to Thomas at N-Fab and he said this pic was a one off they did for this show T4R. But they are for the Trail only and they carry these and rock rails in stock for about $379. You can get them at 4Wheelparts. The also have a detachable step for the rock rail.

Rock rail PN: T104RKR
Detachable Step PN: JPT532 and J1064R
Hoop side step PN: T1064R ( like in the pic)

I might get the rock rails with the detachable steps (short wife) haha

Sorry to bring back an old thread...

but I have to put it out there to all of the manufacturers~

to PLEASE, Someone, Anyone.... manufacture these for the masses!!!

Seriously

I really need the steps but every standard nerf set-up or running board just hangs too low visually for me to even consider, but if someone started making a set like the ones shown above I'd have cash in their hand this very second!

OK, rant over...lolol

Does anyone know of a customizer in the northeast who may be able to make me a set for my Mag Grey LTD?

Thanks!
Dave

The only reason these don't look low as the nerf bars and running boards is there is a 3 inch lift and oversized tires on that SR5 truck in the picture. I've seen these on a non lifted FJ here local and they hung low.

Give Glen at RR a call and see what he can do. Toyota accessories and parts at Rocky Road Outfitters

Thanks Harper! I appreciate the quick reply and the feedback on how they look on an un-lifter rig.

Now that they have the super sliders for the LTD/ SR5 I may just have to go that route and add steps later

and
Since I've been on here since March drooling over your progress but have yet to comment on it.... that is one helluva ride!!! Nice job~

Thanks NYRunner.....just send RR some pics and see if he can put steps on his .I doubt there's a patent on the N-Fabs steps. Or ask to make his come outward more to be used as steps since that seems to be some people's complaints of his super sliders. Some people like them up tight to the truck.

I put a 1 inch wide strip of 3M anti skid along the top of my sliders and use it for a step every day.Not slippery at all in any conditions but it still sits up pretty high for offroading.

That's a great idea~ out of curiosity, do you think the sliders alone would be low enough to be an effective step for shorter passengers on a stock LTD?

Depends on what brand sliders and if they stick out far enough. Everybody that gets in my truck including my GF, Mom and daughters use my Shrockworks sliders as steps to get in and I'm lifted. My 12 year old is shorter then 5 ft. and she gets in using them without help.

The trouble would be if your feet are too big. I wear size 11 and have no problem using it to get in and access the top of my truck.

Step sliders

I posted several pics of the new Rocky roads sliders on the thread about sliders.... I'll try to get more up soon. SR5/LE sliders with no cutting of rocker panels required. They don't come out far enough to be steps but if enough people bugged Glenn I'll bet he'd do it!

sliders

a couple of pics, bolt on sliders with no trimming of rocker panels.... I'll try to get more pics once I get my lift....
