So wrenching on cars is just not my thing. I own an audio video company. I love my 4th gen sport though. This summer I had a local shop install my daystar lift. A couple of weeks ago I started to develop a squeak in my driver side front wheel area. It just kept on getting worse until today it was doing it all the time. So I grabbed a 17 mm wrench and started to check the three nuts on the shock tower. Lo and behold the rear one was so loose I originally thought I didn't even get a wrench on it. after quite a little bit of turning it finally tighten up. Bam--- squeak gone! (Knock on wood). I also checked the passenger side and it was not the tightest either but still not as bad as the driver side So word to the wise check your nuts.

Moral of the story... if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Blue loctite and proper torque specs for everything suspension wise!

Yeah I am not sure what the torque is suppose to be, but it's going in the shop for something else so I am just going to have the tech torque it correctly.

You dont want to use loctite there...

Use nylock washers... much better than the crap most struts come with.

Torque spec for the upper shock mounts are 47ft/lb ... or reasonably tight.
