Hi Guys! i am a brand new, proud owner of an 06 4x4 Limited 4Runner. So far I am loving this truck much more than my Ford Ranger and 350z Nismo that I sold.

Naturally, i want to lift this truck. I have spent a lot of time lurking and reading all the amazing details on everything on this site. I read the "4th Gen Suspension Options/FAQ" sticky and the sticky about the FJ Spring swap. Here is what I am thinking for my lift on my truck. Please weigh in on whether this is a good idea and whether it will work.

2011 4x4 Front FJ Springs (already purchased) - 1inch front
Toytec Superflex rear Coils - 2in Rear

Front Height adjustable Bilstein 5100 Shocks Set at 2 inches - 2in Front
*OR*
2 inch Front Cornfed body Lift Blocks????? - 2in Front

These mods would give me 3 inches up front and 2 inches in the rear, which is my goal. I believe it would also provide a better ride and performance than simply a 3/2 cornfed body lift? correct?

Ultimately, I am trying to fit LT285/65R18 )(32.83") Nitto Trail Grapplers with Spacers and stock wheels into the wheel well...which according to the "4th Gen Suspension" sticky will fit with minor trimming.

Please give me some experienced thoughts on whether this is a good direction to take lifting my truck. Thanks a lot in advance

Yes, I have read through that a number of times but I want to get specific feedback on my thoughts...I reference that sticky a couple times in my post. I am unsure of what happens when I throw on taller springs with stock shocks, etc.

I don't believe the Bilstien shocks can be set at 2", last I saw it was 0" .85" 1.75" and 2.5"

It will give you better ride than the spacer lift from cornfed, I personally like the bilstiens but i have only spent a few hours with them.

I know little about the body blocks, but I think its an all-around lift not just front end.

As you probably noticed in the FAQ post the FJ front springs + Bilstein 5100 (set to max 2.5 slot) will yield you about 3". The a Toytec superflex's are 2". The superflex's are only 15% stiffer than stock. Your stock rear shox if new can probably handle the springs, if they have a lot of miles on them replace with the matching 5100. DownSouth Motorsports usually has the best price for them.

The Nitto Trail Grappler are quite square and aggressive. When you install with spacers you will likely need to push the front liner forward and chop the body mount.
