New '18 LE - warning chime when exiting vehicle...

2018 LE with keyless start. Several times now I have put the vehicle in park, pushed the button to shut off the engine and then opened the door to exit and a warning chime keeps making noise. No visual warning lights on the dash, ignition is off, headlights are in AUTO mode. Sometimes it does it. Most times not. WTF? Any suggestions?

I have a trail not LE. Check your moon roof. I get the chime when mine is "up" to let fresh air in or not closed all the way from being open. But, I think any window that is partially down or door ajar will cause this too.

I have a regular key, but it chimes when left in the keyhole

you have the pushbutton, it might be chiming because, door is opened and car is still inside the car? wants to remind you to take the key

Yeah, it happens on the 16 too. Not sure what's going on, but it's like it thinks it's in accessory mode. Just lock it with the key when you're outside with the doors shut, and it goes away. If there's another workaround, I don't know what it is.

Are you sure you didn't open the door before pushing the button to turn the engine off? Mine does that if I open the door first. Anything else I can think of is the moonroof or back window being slightly open.

I was thinking that was it as it did happen when I opened the door before shutting the engine down. But, I did that sequence intentionally a few times just to check it out and the chime didn't alert. Seems random.
