New 20" tire suggestions for 4R limited

Hey guys,
Approaching 50k on my 2011 4R limited and the stock tires( bridgestones) are toast. I live in WI so I deal with snow and some very minimal off-road excursions. I'm considering a AT tire like the cooper at3's or firestone destination AT. My goal is a better all around tire for the seasons but most importantly dry handling. I'm thinking a stiffer sidewall tire for better handling and less roll and nose dive. Shall I stick to my AT tire plan and if so, any other tires I'm overlooking?

Going with 275/55/20 like most folks have done with Limiteds 20" wheels.

Anything that reduces any nose dive and body roll with the limited is going to be pretty harsh. When I was stock I didn't feel like I had any body roll with the 20"'s and xreas, was your previous truck a sports car?

Most of the folks I've seen with LE here seem to run Michelins if they go to that size.

Unfortunately the answer is "it depends" as there are so many options out there, ask [MENTION=56072]chetJ[/MENTION] about the Michelin handling as he has a thread on almost the same topic going and sounds like he's buying them. I think the top tires out there (for someone not doing much offroading) seem to be the Michelins and Coopers, at least based on general ratings and forum feedback but you'll find very different opinions even on those. I've only driven one set of Michelins and it wasn't on my 4runner so I don't know that I can provide any feedback, apples to oranges, I just see a ton of LE's here running them when stock wears out.

I think we all have our own bias built in on tires, really is too bad you can't test drive them like when you bought your truck eh?

I put the 275/55/20 LTX MS2's on my 13 Limited at about 800 miles. I found they gave a little stiffer ride which equates to a little better handling on road. They are great tires and I've had them on various on road vehicles for years. The only complaint is that for a M&S tire, they are not that good in M&S. They do well on hard packed snow and ice, but if it gets slushy or deep, they are challenged. Mud loads up the tread pretty easily.

So after 17,000 miles I bought some 17" Konig Six Shooters and put the Cooper AT3's on. I'm very happy with that change, they handle well on road, both dry and in heavy rain, and much better is deep snow and mud.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up going with the michelin ltx ms2's. It was them or the coopers but I rarely venture off road and snow here in WI isn't too crazy. I put dry handling as my first priority and the michelins seem to be rated best for on highway use!

Oh and both tirerack and discount tire said 275/55/20 are fine for the limited wheels, many do it.
