Yes, E7009 will work in a 2003 limited with 10 speaker system. I got everything to work including steering wheel controls, bluetooth and also installed Toyota XM radio to work off SAT. I did have to get another amp to replace the 2003 amp but with 2 wires run back to the new amp, I have voice navigation at the drivers side and all 10 speakers work. I don't know which amp it is because the numbers are scratched off but it worked fine. The only thing I can't get working is the RSE.

sorry to dig up a old thread but I bought a 2007 solara nav unit. I own a 2004 t4r sport with the jbl 10 speaker system. I just want to make sure I install this right.
1. I have read that I will need a new amp. will this just plug and play where my old amp is?
2. I have figured out how to do the mic (just by a factory mic and push the wires over the correct pins). But what about the speed/ reverse and grounding the brake? Where are the speed wires at that I would connect to the deck?

Just finished my E7009 install in my 08 Sport yesterday. All of the guides here were invaluable, and the voice guidance works great running the wiring back to the JBL amp.
Although I have tracked down the wires for the speed and reverse sensors, I haven't seen anything on where to plug them into the nav, and the "speed and reverse sensor connectors" that OEMValue included are just computer CD-ROM audio cables. Does anyone know where these will plug in since that 5-pin connector I found while searching is no longer supplied?
Also, since there are gaps to the left and right even on the sport, I'm giving the Metra double din kit for JBL systems a try. I'll let everyone know how it turns out when it gets here!

I installed mine yesterday as well. I have ordered the new JBL amp since mine is 04. I also ordered the steering wheel controls, gps antenna, and factory mic. I will install the rest next weekend when the rest of the stuff comes in.
What gauge wires did you buy, I need to buy some to run back to the new amp.
As far as the speed/reverse wires go, you have to female crimp piece from a place like radio shack that will slide over the pin on the back of the unit (one for each wire and individual pin) unless you buy a factory pig tail.

Ah good deal, thanks. I'll probably tackle that tomorrow night when the rest of my stuff comes in (mic and buttons). I just bought 3x25 ft spools from Radio Shack, I think it was 24ga wire. I also bought one of the 25 pin female parallel connectors from there and just used those pins to put into the connector and they seemed to fit pretty well also.
I just installed the E7009 from OEM Value on Friday into a 2006 Sequoia with JBL and amp existing. Everything works perfectly with the exception of the Bluetooth microphone interface. I realize I need to purchase the mic separately but there has been one mic mentioned for adding to your headliner and another mentioned with the push button *both with separate part numbers). Also, where did you find the R10 jack and right side steering wheel controls, as well as the mic? This whole swap out of my head unit to the E7009 including adding Sirius has only taken me about 1 1/2 hours but it won't be complete until the mic is fully functioning for bluetooth. I was about to email Carson Toytoa regarding the necessary parts but thought I would ask those of you who are already doing this. Thanks in advance for your help.

Could someone take 5mins and give me a list of all the parts/part #s I will need to install a stock Nav unit in to my 4Runner, where I may be able to get them, and a potential cost. Also, can I get some guidance on the handset controls on the steering wheel - where to get them and install help.
Also could you let me know what new functionalities I will be able to utilize and what additional parts I may need - Nav, Bluetooth, Backup Camera, Sirrius Radio, etc.
What should I be looking to invest in this? I have a pro install guy who is a friend so that helps.

I'm going to assume something here but I would like to clarify with someone that knows more than I. Since this system works in an 03 4Runner, is it safe to say that the E7009 system will work in an 05 4Runner Sport Edition without JBL? My mother in-law would like this done to her 4Runner so I'm just trying to make sure I have all of my facts straight.

I replaced my 2004 Factory single CD/Tape Combo Non-JBL head unit Toyota Part# 86120-AE011 with a '08 Factory 6 CD changer Non-JBL head unit Toyota Part# 86120-08210
The connections in the rear of both decks are exactly the same. After the install everything works flawless, however I lost Rear Seat Audio when I installed it. All I can see is that my RSA is getting power, it changes modes, tunes, controls the CD changer etc but does not have sound through IR headphones or Mini-Jacks at all. Have you seen this issue? What is the difference in 2008 CD changer and 2004 CD/Tape radio? Your thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have a '03 Limited with OEM Navi and JBL/10 speaker system. From what I am reading, I should be able to swap my HU (17006) with the E7009 and the steering wheel controls and it should work great? I want to add Bluetooth and Aux-in but I dont really want to spend 1000 bucks on a new deck. I am however considering a Pioneer and JVC HU's though.

OK...So i just bought the audio controls for the non-SR5 wheel to take control of my audio from my '06 SR5 V8....From the OP's original pic, it seems that the harness is already there, and I was told that all 4Runners (of this age) have the harness, regardless of the 3K$ upgrade or not. So, from the pic, it looks like I have to take the airbag off to get to the two plugs??? The ebay member told me that it was pretty much 'plug-n-play. And if this worked, is the harness connected to the NON-JBL, double din stereo??? (I am going aftermarket stereo anyways, but the controls will be there, and eventually adapted to work). THANK YOU AND THANKS FOR THE HELP....my 1st post!

So, you are saying you need a new airbag to make it 'fit' like the OEM upgrade? If not, I would assume you could add these controls (like I am) into the steering wheel, with my own modifications using the existing wheel/airbag.
Am I correct in this assumption? Thanks for any reply!

Yes, it's plug and play, and YES you have to take the airbag off. It's very simple to do.

Does your rig have JBL?? If so, everything is plug and play (almost everything)
Did your SR5 come from the factory without ANY audio controls?? If so, then you have a couple of options.
1) Cut the bag cover
