New 265/75/16 Duratracs!

Got some new 265/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs put on! I'm on stock suspension and they fit great. Huge difference off-road and great manners on road. I love them so far. Figured posting some pictures could help out those that are thinking about upgrading to 265/75/16 tires.

Depends on what your definition of "best" is. Personally I like 33s because they're still tame on road and great off road. It's the perfect middle ground IMO

Thanks! I went with the C load rating. The ride is very comfortable.

Those are some great tires. From experience I will say to rotate them every 5k and you'll get great life out of them. Mine never chunked and most of what I did with them was rock and dirt. Great grip on muddy surfaces and great cupping on rocks. Soft sidewalls so you should air up slightly above stock recommendations.

I have a garage friend that just bought out a bankrupt tire shop.
- so my 2000 SR5 will be getting new 265-75R16's cheap / E-load on stock alloys & suspension

Just curious on front tires - where is the tightest clearance & by how much ?

Its on the rear of the wheel well right where the L bend and the mudflap innermost portion meet. So I guessing this will accelerate those 99 talls abit. Sorry about the boards, the gf is short and needs the help in. haha... :cowboy:

I got mine back in 2009 and I'll be getting my 2nd set soon and they have worn well (42k and being a bit lazy with rotations) and have performed great on and off road. I went with the C load rating which is perfect for a 2 ton truck. My friend has the E load versions and his '99 rides like it's on rocks and those were his words.

My wife is barely 5' tall on a good day, and was not in favor of my pulling the boards on my 3rd gen in favor of some sliders.

So I "accidentally" used my boards to pivot on a boulder, destroying the passenger side completely. Then "accidentally" got the driver's side hung up on a stump trailside, ripping it clean off. Same trail, same day, wife was not impressed.

On the way home we stopped by costco and bought a small step stool and I said to her "it's either you use this to get in, or I get sliders".

Sliders went on less than 2 weeks later.

Same with my mom. But I've taken over the T4R now so I'm calling the shots. One thing though, when I get in and out I really push down on the edge of the seat as I slide in and out and this will only get worse if I get a lift. This is gonna wreck the seat, is there anything I can do to strengthen it?

Thanks! No spacers yet. I feel like the stance is pretty good for stock wheels.
