Hey fellas,

I have ditched the 4th gen 4runner and just purchased a 2002 SR5 4x4 with E-lock.

I plan on pulling the trigger on the Boss suspension system from Toytech this week. I know there have probably been a million threads on this topic but the search bar did not get me what I was looking for.

What is the assessment of this suspension lift? How hard is the install? A local shop quoted me at 400 dollars for install with new UCAs.

Rear shocks? Should I be ok with the procomp 9000s or would you suggest an upgrade in that department? I will be mostly highway driving and want the most comfortable drive possible.

Any pictues of this set-up would be great too!

02' doesnt have rear locker, just multi-mode T-case.

I can't comment on the quality of BOSS lift, but if you get pre-assembled coilovers then install is simple.

Like stated no rear elock, you have a diff lock which is not the same. Boss kit is nice, its valved to ride great on our trucks. I would go with some LC or superflex rear coils and LC tokico shocks, but thats my opinion. LC tokico shocks give best ride.

$400 for install of the lift and UCA's is awesome deal. Thats what I would charge if I did it for someone. Thats about 4 hours labor rate at a pricey shop.

Thanks for the clarification on the e-lock vs diff lock. Glad to hear 400 is a good deal.

What are you guys thoughts on the Hercules Terra track IIs?

I got a boss lift last summer. My drivers side shock is leaking bad and pass side is a bit sweaty. I regret that I didn't get the ultimate with 5100s. Decide for yourself.

Aelfwine you have a picture of your ride with the boss installed? Is there not a warranty on the shocks?

I just bought the BOSS lift with rear superflex.. I am hoping to install soon!
