New 4 Runner

My wife and I just pickup a new 4 runner. So far I love it. The Toyota dealer had a real good lease on these and I could not turn it down. My only worry is gas mileage. We just did a 130 mile trip and the MPG computer says we AVG 18 MPG. Not bad for an engine not broke in yet. I just hope the MPG computer is correct :

V6 with 4WD

I got 17.93 mpg on my first tank of gas, V6 4WD. From what I've read, your mileage will improve. The 1GR-FE (V6) is a pretty tight engine and your mileage should continue to improve until 5k miles. The 1GR takes a while to fully break-in from what the '05 Tacoma owners say. The computer display mpg will be about 10% higher than your actual.

Congrat's on the new purchase , nice combo with the v6 and 4wd. Can't go wrong IMO.

I personally don't find my comp. to be very far off at all , but that's what eveyone say's but when I check it to real world milage it's pretty fricken close.

Some people seem to have different opinion's which is a good thing too. Many critisize the lack of Toyota's accuracy with the window sticker and spec's in the brochure , comp. ect.... Those are not my finding's.

That's one of the nice effects of going to 32" tires. Makes the digital readout closer to reality.
