I'll be spending most of my time on here so wanted to do anther introduction for this area also. Here's my story on how I got my current 4runner.

Sold my 300ZX on the 29th
Found a 4runner I wanted five days later using search tempest
Got a friend on board and got tickets to Virginia and flew out Thursday
We arrived at the smallest air port I've ever been to Monday morning at 10:05 A.M.
The previous owner picked us up filled it with gas and I went on a test drive after looking it over.
Took it up to 85 MPH it performed well and everything was tight.
11:30 Paperwork was signed and we were on our way to Georgia with the new 4runner.
We arrived back at 7:30 P.M. after convoying with some college girls in a white 4th Gen.

Couldn't be happier with the purchase and it feels so good to be back inside of one. Spent all day yesterday detailing it. Took it to a friends house and we put it on the lift to get a better look. Rotated the tires, charged the ac and seafomed it. I couldn't get the e locker to engage for the longest. We spun the rear tires in opposite directions while it was in 4 LO trying to engage it but no go. I looked like a ballerina in a empty culdesac trying to get it to lock also. I'm sure the neighbors enjoyed that show ha. Went today and got some pictures out on a random trail. My friend insisted I try the locker again just for the heck of it and sure enough it went right in. Not sure why it decided to come alive I guess all the bumps woke it up. :bigok: I just grinned and assumed it was waiting for some true action it had been deprived of this whole time. Anyways enough babbling on to the pictures...

Nice, Looks just like mine. I took the rear badges off as well. You liking the power compared to the 2nd gen?

Thanks man, yes I am. The 3.4 is superior in every single way. When I had it I would somethimes drive my parents third gen and would always be reminded how slow the 3.slow truely is.

great lookin' rig. i wish my 99 had the 4runner emblem on the license plate area like the 96-98s. i think i'm gonna go to a savage yard to go see if i can find one.

Not to sure how that one got taken off forgot to ask him about it. My friend is a body tech and got me another one today. Leaving the rest off though I like the way it looks debadged.

Thats a great looking 4runner man! Im jealous that you have the rear locker but one day mine will lol. For sure do the gray wire mod and have fun with the locker in 2wd

Appreciate the kind words. I'll admit I am a little nervous about cutting into wires but it looks simple enough.
Nice color choice! I've had mine since december and have really enjoyed it.
They are a blast and I'm glad I ended up with this color. I have hardly seen one like it ever.
What year was your 300ZX?
It was a 91

Nice find. I keep getting jealous when people buy one of these things and can take it out right off the bat instead of my having to deal with sh!t-tons of rust and undisclosed problems.

One day I'll be out there...

I had the owner take pictures of the under body on this one before I flew up. Pleasantly surprised how good it looked being from Virgina and all. Make sure you wash the under body after being on those sandy salty roads if you didn't know already.
