New 4th Gen Wheels

My wheels badly corroded. Looking at either trying to touch them up or possibly replace with other Toyota wheels. Here are some photo-shopped pics of a 4th gen sport to compare 4th and 5th gen wheels on it. What do you think looks best? I'm going for a stock or close to stock look.

any backspacing issues with 3rd gen wheels on a 4th gen?

I just got a 4th gen after recently putting brand new tires on omy 3rd gen and I am thinking of swapping the wheels and tires from my 3rd gen to my 4th and selling my 3rd gen with the 4th gen wheels on it.

would I run into any problems by putting the 3rd gen wheels on my 4th gen?

Just remember you cant run any 16" wheel on a Sport or Limited because of the larger brakes. That's why they came with 17"s from the factory.

Not sure if there are any back spacing issues. Just got my 03 about 2 months ago. Current rims and tires came with it, and I am sure it is all stock. Doubt the previous owners did any upgrades.

well those wheels on your 2003 4runner are the 3rd gen 5 spoke wheels so they are not stock...

I pulled the wheels last night and found the 4th gen wheels do not seem to have the proper backspacing to the clear the UCAs on a 3rd gen so I was unable to make the swap workout.

Installed these 5th gen wheels on mine. Replaced them for the same reason you're looking to replace yours.

I personally like the 14 Trail Edition Wheels (7 spoke) BUT someone just posted these up for sale yesterday ->5th Gen SR5 Wheels
these would be the top right ones on the picture you posted. They're pretty cheap even with shipping it should still be a good deal.

I really like the look of the 2014-15 SR5 wheels on the 4th gen in the original photoshop. I think the curves of those wheels compliment the curves of the 4th gen body style well. That, plus I've never seen it done.
