New Addition To The Family!

I've been wanting a bike for a long time so i finally bit the bullet and bought one, A 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Its brand new bike this year ground up, and the latest twin. I just got my motorcycle license and this is my first Motorcycle and it the three weeks ive owned her ive put on 850miles so far!!!

congrats on the bike bro....be really careful...i know i sound like mom, but i've seen tons of new riders with new bikes bin it because they get cocky. If you're really smart you'll take the MSF course, go easy on the streets for a while, stay away from squids, and then learn how to rail on the track.

I'm from the bay area, take a ride through tilden, grizzly peak, and pinecrest...its gorgeous and great riding. Although i'm sure there's a bunch of debris out on the road.

Ive already taken the msf course and i plan on doing the advanced one soon. ive racked up 850miles so far taking it easy pretty much around town,
do u know what tracks have track days? and when?

and by the way, what are squids?

i don't know off hand where brentwood is (i only know the socal version), but the usual suspects for track days are Thunder Hill, Laguna Seca, Infineon (Used to be Sears Point). Then there's all the Socal tracks as well, Buttomwillow, Willowsprings, California Speedway, etc.

check the track calenders to see who is organizing what days. Keigwins is a great track organizer, anything with them is going to be great.

The word squid is sorta like good pornography, hard to define, but you know it when you see it. Typically its a rider with no skill who rides around town popping wheels and doing generally reckless behavior, usually with no gear on.

Here is my ride of choice for the street - 2001 Vmax 1200, kind of custom. 2 in lower, crome front end and scoops, Corbin seat, Kerker and much more. Just added steel braded break lines and clutch.

Also have a KTM LC4 640 - super huge street legal dirt bike. Take that in the woods more than the Runner.
