New ARB bumper, new PIAA fogs to replace my factory fogs

So I guess it come down to that you ordered the wrong ass bumper to mount fog lights to! :thumb:
Shrockworks, CBI, Add Off & 4Xinnov all have cut outs for fogs.
Nah, I think I ordered the right bumper - I just need to come to terms with pulling trigger on $200+ worth of fog lights

For what it's worth I have aftermarket retrofits, piaa fogs uncovered and no front license plate for over 7 years now with the ARB. I have never received a ticket or had even a conversation with LEO about this.
Buckle your seatbelt, pay your parking tickets and registration, don't have excessive tint then you will be just fine with LEOs and live an LEO worry free life.

Decided to go with PIAA 520 (5291) which is a 80° fog beam. The similar, and more expensive (on Amazon at least) 5293 is a 30° beam driving light. Aside from the reflectors, all other details and components are the same between the two models.
I will mount them on top of the bumper, where it's safe, and take the time to aim them right.

Dont be that guy that drives with a light bar on on the street. Every person I see driving with one on I just want to beat them senseless. :gun6:
With those people it usually starts with my flashing my brights on in the hopes that they turn it off. But when they leave it on then I flash my D2 driving and 10" Rigid Sr2 in my scoop on. If its still not off them I turn them back on and also show them my 42" bar on my windshield until i finally drive past them. They probably regret their decision to not turn it off :bounce:

I picked up the Rigid 50481 Dually DOT approved fogs and mounted them in my stock bumper for $154. The width and definition of the beam pattern is crazy. Yes, they area little pricey but for the quality and the fact they are actually LEGAL to run on the road it is worth it.

I love all my Rigid Lights and have had the D2s for awhile and have no issues with any of them. Some may say I have a slight addiction to lights

I feel you. I'm not that person. A don't drive with my fogs on if I don't "need" them. A light bar for me would be on-demand lighting when needed: dark parking lot, deer on highway, off road/rural area.
Thanks for Amazon link. I did consider those and other D series Rigid lights. Your install looks clean, a few too many lights for my liking or needs but it looks executed well. Thanks for sharing.
The Duster in your AVI looks fun. I had a 71 Scamp I was gonna swap a 360 Magnum into but sold the car

For the amount that the PIAA cost I would seriously consider getting the Rigid D2 Amber fog instead. The models seem to have changed recently so I'm not sure what the latest fog / flood Amber model is.

I wouldn't do the Amber cover on regular white LEDs. I tried, it ain't really good.
I thought about getting the D2 Flood Amber, but I'm leaning towards the PIAA Mike mentioned.
I'm concerned the Rigids won't have much throw compared to the PIAA.

Duster, I like it! I've been looking for something like this that's DOT compliant.
How did you actually mount your Rigid fog lights? It looks like you have the bracket on the bottom. Is it screwed into the valence, or is it attached to something more structural? I can't tell from your picture:

That's awesome old Mopars are so much fun.
I'm building it for autocross/ road racing and beating the living $hit out of it on the street. I 440 swapped it, monster 4 wheel disc 13" front and 11.5" rear, 17x9.5 w/ 255s up front and 17x11.5 w/ 315s out back and a ton of other stuff but I won't bore you with the details and this is a T4R forum lol

I used some old garage door L brackets that I had laying around.

First I unbolted the frame ends. To mount the bracket I bolted the dually to the bracket and held it up to the frame end so that it was close to the bumper on the top and marked where the bolt needed to be on the bracket. The old bolt was just a bit too big to fit through the bracket w/o modification. So a quick pass with a step bit and I was back in business. Bolted it all back on and aimed the lights to be fairly close.
After this I took the lower valence and tilted it up into place and just eyeballed where I needed to make cuts to clear the light and lower bracket.

No, didn't have to tub the rear but have trimmed/ rolled the wheel lips. The wheels are flush to the 1/4s right now so I have tons of space to the inner wheel well. I want to get my rear suspension all setup to see if I can clear them w/o hitting the 1/4s. Worst case I'll need to pull the wheels in another 1/2" to be tucked just inside and clear the outside wheel house where it meets the 1/4.
I've been on FABO forever as 74DartSwinger360. It's my favorite forum beside this one. Are you on there?
