New ARB bumper, new PIAA fogs to replace my factory fogs

Here's fresh meat for the grinder

Don't mind the two different color shackles.

No real pics of the install, but it was a pretty straight forward task.
The PIAA supplied relay and harness was a snap to work with. I didn't use their switch but rather connected the "trigger wire" into the existing fog light wiring with a single splice into the driver side fog POS+ wire. Now the factory fog switch on the light stalk triggers the PIAA relay and turns the fogs on, but only with the headlights already on. This also auto-disables the fogs when the brights go on. I can always change this to a separate switch, but the way the factory did it made sense to me, so I used it.
All wiring was tucked up and secured along with the existing harness against the core support. The connectors to the lamps themselves are right behind the grille and the wiring is routed and secured along the bottom rib where the core support ground connection is.

This road is slightly downhill but the fogs hit the gound about 30 feet in front of the truck.

Top: fogs off, Bottom; fogs on

The horizontal spread of the bulbs doesn't bother me, but the dead spots do. Need to drive them in fog, or aim them better, or both.

The lights look really good on top of the bumper! As for how the beam looks, I'm not crazy about it... the dead spots, like you said, suck.

Did you follow the instruction to aim them properly (I know I'm the kind of guy that would not necessarily do it right the first time) or do you think it's a light/placement issue?

I went with the Rigid Dually Fog (DOT compliant) btw. Will install them soon.

I have my 6" PIAA's toed in & down a little so there's no dead spot.

Doesn't it reduce the width of the beam then?
