Last night my dad and i pick up an 08 Specialized FSR XC Comp in nearly mint condition for $550. (Thank You Craigslist). Full Suspension, Front and rear lockout, Hayes Hydrualic Disc brakes, Shimano Doer (spelling?) shifters....

Damn, that's a great deal. Congrats on the find. Looks to be in great condition too.

One minor detail, not that it matters too much though. That's not an '08, it's a '06 or '07 which the rear shock goes through the seat tube. The '08 and '09 the rear shock is mounted vertically (parallel) to the seat tube. I've got an '08 SJ FSR. I almost thought it was a '10 SJ FSR because the shock arrangement looks so similar.

its not a stumpjumper. Its an 08 FSR XC Comp its a different bike than a stumpy. Specialized Bicycle Components : FSRxc Comp

Thanks too, i love the bike. I have a Rockhopper too and it is a completely different bike.
 
Nice bike. Costs a lot, too. I only have a $99 bike that i bike around the neighborhood during the summer. haha...

Mike, mine brand new is $1500 and thats nothing for a bike, i know its really scary because some people will pay $4500+ for a bicycle.

that would be my brother who if I'm not mistaken invested around $10k in bicycles for him and his wife.

i would slap myself if i put that much money into something that i had to pedal myself. i think $1-2k would be tops for me.

I did want to slap him around little bit and say wtf were you thinking, but it's his money so i said screw it....

Let me check and see if I have any pics when I got the bike new. I got the bike tucked way now as winter is rolling around for snowboarding.

I guess I'm crazy category too. I've got my heart set on an Intense Tracer VP or Uzzi VP for my next ride.
