New black rims

I got my rims back from powdercoat and got them mounted today. They used to be the Titanium finished Sequoia rims, but i think they are much better like this.

I took them to americas tire to have them mounted and they said it was gonna be like $93 and change. So i dropped them off and took off for a while, when i got back they told me one of the techs scratched the hell out of one of them, but it was on the inside and not noticeable from the front. They offered to have it re-PC'd but i just asked them to take some $$ off the price. In the end they mounted, balanced and threw in lifetime rotate and balance for FREE. Needless to say i was pretty stoked. Here they are:

So do you think i should get black lugs or just leave it as is?

That looks good ... how much and could I do that do my stock Sport rims?
Thanks. Yes, you could do it to the sport ones. I thought about that, but decided that these would look better black IMO.

Black Lugs and some BFG AT KO's Black walled would be the sickness!!!

Very unique looking 4 Runner man!

Thanks for the compliments. I was also now thinking about painting the front and back toyota emblems black to match. Think it would be overkill on the black?

That's a neat idea....but I'm a bit scared that it might look like they are missing painted black....like how the outline looks after punks rip them off. Maybe not tho

I think they look very nice with your Galactic Grey. Wonder what they'd look like on a black/grey Sport?

With your running boards off, can you see the underbelly of the truck when viewed sideways? Like the frame, etc. hanging excessively below the body? I am concerned that if I take my step tubes off, I won't like what I see in the mirror. :D

Thats what i was thinking. From afar it would look like nothing was there. Maybe the black pearlescent(sp?) would look better. I have been thinking my goal will be to eliminate all chrome, except the V8 on front, that will stay.

Sac state-you cant see too much frame or underbelly from sideways. I think it looks way better without them. One of the main reasons i took them off was because when i got out of the car my leg would hit them, it irritated me so i ditched them. Here's more of a side shot for you to see.

Since i knew i was doing this to the rims the reason i wanted to get the black tail lights was to keep up with the blacking out stuff on the car. But i am not sure i am going to do that at this point. They would look pretty sweet on it tho.

As with everyone else, i too think that the black lugs would be better but it looks good.

my personal taste would be a flatter black power coat but they still look great.

Yeah, i like the look of the flat black too. In person they actually dont look too glossy, some of those pictures kinda make them look glossier. The powdercoat was only a 50% gloss.

Very nice! original look, just get some black lugs and maybe paint the toyota emblem with a lighter color to make it stick out more ;)

Very cool...it probabaly is just the sun and the pictures. Looks good...way to be original.:D

Black Rims

Where did you have the black powdercoat done for your 4runner? I have an '03 Titanium 4runner, and I've been looking at getting American Racing Mojave with Teflon (Series 3981), but after hearing how cheap it would be to have the powdercoating done, I'd rather do that...
