Hola, About a year and a half ago I was faced with getting a replacement vehicle. I was replacing a ford ranger with offload package and 4.0. When I purchased it i had wanted a Toyota but couldn't afford one. Searched high, far and low and found a 2003 tundra in excellent condition with 115k miles owned in dry country by a young woman. At the time I thought I wanted a lift kit and this one had one and a lot of other goodies. Well quickly I started the maintenance and familiarizing myself with it via the inter webs. It runs like a top but stands too tall. It is scheduled to have its stilts removed replaced with icons and alcans.
That has fueled the fire to acquire a 4runner. Started lurking here and see there are some sweet rigs. I started looking two weeks ago and found one this past Thursday night. Talked to the owner and it was mine Friday at 11:30. I can't wait to see it and get started. It is a 2000 SR5 "sports edition" with sunroof, five star wheels, cloth interior, hood scoop, color coded bumpers and 4x4 on the shifter and a button to the left of the steering column. From the pic it looked like orange print not white. I kept forgetting to ask..it has 131,000k and was owned by a retired couple almost all it's life.
Now he said its a sports edition, but from what I read it doesn't say that on the vehicle any where. I hope it is the highlander but I will soon see...pics will follow. And now the journey begins.
