New breaks after 30k km's ?!?!

Hi guys, so I left my truck to change that steering yoke that was damaged and I asked them to check the breaks in the back..... because it made noise when I break at low speed, dude calls me to tell me my breaks are finished in the back.

WTH I changed all 4 with discs pads and all that 2 years ago. Do I need to learn how to break with a truck ? Kinda pissed off at this news : /

Any insight on this ?

For what it is worth, on my '10 Trail with 75K miles, my rotors front and rear have been turned twice with new pads (obviously). I live on a steep hill in the hills west of Portland, OR and my "commute" is all up and down. Nothing level where I live and go on a daily basis. Next time, new rotors...

You at least need to learn how to spell it

But yeah, that is way too early, especially for rear brakes. Either there is a problem with a pad dragging, or the mechanic is just trying to sell you something you don't need. Or maybe you are one of those people who drive around with your left foot on the brake all the time???

I think dealer is a britch also, because last time when I did my front suspension they didn't say nothing and that was a couple of months ago...

Borla is fine only a little bent when I went in the mud last 2 times :/

Sounds like the brake pads are wearing prematurely.


Last time my truck was in the dealership @ 55K, they reported back on the Extramile Certified Inspection sheet that my pads were 6mm to 4mm remaining.
I am still on the original pads.
BTW, I do not baby my brakes either, I brake hard a lot of the times....

I also live where there are a lot of mountains and hills but my brakes on many vehicles last a long time because I downshift on downhills to stay off the brakes.
