Thank you guys for the add, this is my 4th T4R. I've had it for a while and have been waiting for my warranty to expire before making any mods. So far I have completed the Daystar 2.5" & 1.5" leveling kit, upgraded my tires to All terrain Cooper 275/75r17, fog light switch, HID's and 10% tint on the rear windows. I'm thinking about getting rid of my XREAS suspension and adding FJ's 5100 suspension. Powder coat wheels and add spidertrax spacers. I want to see what you guys recommend or think I should do.

i will say that you dont have to wait for your warranty to expire to do mods and they cant void your warranty for mods so mod away.

now as far as replacing xreas im in the same spot right now with wanting to get it off my truck. i have 255/70/18 bfg rugged terrains and im working on collecting parts. as for the front im going with trd tacoma springs(picked them up a few days ago) and for the rear im getting fj springs. total investment on springs $40. then getting 5100's all around once they can be had. they are currently not selling any because of moving the shop so finding some that are in stock somewhere is hard to find at a good price

Thanks Sparky, I got a quote to powder coat and it was $425 so I have been hesitant! I will try to plastic dip, hopefully they will look as good as yours!

I considered powder coat, but like idea of changing colors over time in a cheap way! Plasti dip then paint on top is very easy, heck I did it in the wind and they look perfect!

Quick question on your wheels. They look great. Is there any trick to what you did that I should know? Its just Plastidip and then the spray paint over the top? Did you have to let the dip cure for a certain amount of time? Do you think it matters how thick you put it on? And can you wash this combination like through a normal car wash or limited to hand washing? Appreciate any additional tips!
Also, how about a clear coat as well?

Good question, on the next page i sort of answered that as well. here it is

"Good question, I took wheels and tires off, degreaser cleaning and brushing all really well. I did 4 coats of black plasti dip on each wheel, almost a full can on each. Let dry 20 mins between coats! Then did roughly 3-4 coats of the paint on each wheels, 10-20 min dry time there as well, removed the index cards that were stuffed between wheel and tire (so no dip or paint on tire), let sit over night and installed today! Ran exact same thing with different color for 2 years!

No sanding or anything clean/dry/spray/dry/spray/dry/spray and so on/done/install ENJOY"

More dip the better for removal later! I used almost a full can on each wheel! let dry for a few minutes between coats, dried while either swapping spark plugs or changing oil etc. My previous dip and paint I ran through wash many times, as a matter of fact after 2 years I had to pressure wash it off with a good pressure washer, not a car wash pressure washer. If that makes sense.
