I so im almost done building my first bumper. i have to mount my stock blinkers in the bumper and build the top piece. the last pic was when i had to stop mid build and pull my sisters taurus outta the ditch. so it didnt have the sides...tell me what ya think. Im thinking about putting some 6" Hella's on the top of it.

it was pretty much my first time working with metal....so im pretty happy with it.
i've only spent like 25$ on materials too. my dad had a bunch of scrap so thats where the metal came from.

Pretty plain, rough, practical. BUT, I would have done things abit different, like making a profile plug in front (for wrenches, and recovery pieces (can't remember the exact name)). And a place for fog lamps inside of it and some other fancy stuff.

But, an awesome work for your first piece. ;)
The more you fabricate yourself the better you get.

Keep up the good work.

that bumper looks awesome. How did you make the bends near the center. I'm getting ready to try my first bumper build and am pretty lost. I've got 4x4 box tubing yo work with but i'm afraid it might be too heavy.

thanks everyone.
im actually getting ready to build another one. out of all 0.25 steel. its going to be 4 inches deeper to accommodate a winch.
i got an online quote on the steel and its gonna run about 125$ for all of it... i'm gonna get another pricing on getting it all pre-cut

here it is all finished
