Howdy folks! I picked up this new TE recently and have lurked around the site until just now. Hopefully I can get it off road soon. The site has me addicted!

I really liked the build thread by iDrivaT4R and want to model mine after his (which he sold!). I will definitely put on a 3" lift, but which brand I can't decide, though likely the Toytec ultimate. I actually want to keep the tires at stock size 265/75-17 and will likely get Duratracs. I really want to do a Satoshi grille mod, but that will have to wait until after holiday travel.

The thing that I am picking my brain about right now is which slider to put on it. Rocky Road, Shrockworks and BudBuilt all seem to have good products and my searches of the site haven't turned up any general preference to one brand. I will need them before I head out to Moab next summer.

If anyone on the site can point me in the right direction for sliders and for the best winch mounting options, that would make my life a lot easier.

I'm not sure how it is for 5th gens but for 3rd gens (which I have) an aftermarket bumper is pretty much the only option for a winch. I have seen it done to where people weld on a frame cross member with a spot for a 2" receiver. The winch is then mounted on that (pics below). Unfortunately I have only seen this on jeeps and full size diesels so I'm not sure if you could make it work for your truck.

As far as sliders go I have Stubbs Welding sliders but they dont seem to have any for 5th gens yet. Shrockworks is some of the best stuff you will find but they have a long lead time. I have budbuilt skid plates and they are stout so I assume their sliders would be the same. Just from doing a quick look at them I like the budbuilts better because you can get a kick out version. I have a small kickout on my sliders and sometimes I wish I had more. It really helps if you get to close to a rock or a tree, you'll end up with a scratched up slider as opposed to a scratched body panel.
