New CV Axle or New Boots?

2001 SR5 4WD with 380,000 miles. Just had the inner CV boot on passenger side fail and sling grease everywhere. Shops are quoting me prices for just putting on a new boot kit. And replacing the axle. The price is literally about the same. Toyota parts have gotten me this far and I’m a believer.

But is the original Toyota axle with 380k miles and new boots better than a new axle one of these shops will put on? One shop said they’ll use an OE axle and give me a 3 year or 36K mile warranty on both the parts and labor.

Doing myself not an option. Don’t do serious wheeling but do take off-road on occasion. Daily driver. Bilstine 5100 shocks adjusted to give probably 2 inches of clearance up front for my BFG KO2s.

If the shop uses a real factory axle and not a rebuilt one then its worth going that route. However, if they are using rebuilt ones then its worth rebooting your factory axles.

for some reason a lot of people really like the napa axels. I used one, but it was on a corolla
