New Dash Ideas for Dash Mat other than Velcro

Any other Ideas other than Velcro to help Dash Mat stay in place? Love the Protection it offers from AZ Sun but looking for another way...

I think any type of adhesive will melt under the AZ weather. Vegas as well.. and any other dry desert places in the west.

I think you could look at those "non slip" mats. They are rubber and stick to the dash naturally with no adhesive. You just set a few around and I bet the cover wouldn't go anywhere.

Thank you for the ideas. Just don't want adhesive all over a New Dash if at all possible.

use zip ties or fishing line, atleast on the front you can try it through the vent at windshield. or pop the a pillars off and use some fine line and figure a way to tie then put the a pillar back in.

IMO skip the dash mat, use a quality custom fit sun shade and apply Aerospace 303 to the dash monthly. 303 is a great product, use it on your door and window seals, anything rubber, vinyl, or plastic. Spray it under the hood also on the hoses and hood seals, tires and spare tire.

I have never had either. But would a dash mat be easier to put on and off if you used it just as a sun shade.
Smaller so thinking it might be easier for the wife to just lay it on instead of folding out the larger sun shade.

Only want the extra protection for the dash only. No crack and want to keep it that way.

What do you think?

I'll give a +1 to Flynnster.
They have rug tape that is adhesive on one side, and rubber on the other.
It sticks to the dash mat's underside, and the rubber meets the dash to keep it in place.
I used it in my house, and on the bottom of my plastic cargo box to keep it from sliding around in the back.

Don't buy CARPET tape, that is sticky on both sides and made for carpet edges, not rugs.

My dash mats are held in place as follows. Suction cup is stuck to the lower corner of the window. The hook on the suction cup has a small piece of velcro attached to it. I put my license between the velcro and the mat and slide the mat under it. Pull out the license and the velcro holds the mat in place. The suction cups have only popped off a few times when it gets real hot. Best non destructive way to hold the mat. I refuse to stick anything to my interior.
