not that this needs to be done, but just out of curiousity, if i were to need a new/rebuilt engine for a 2000 4runner where and about how much would it cost?

No idea-you won't need it
I am assuming since no one is chiming in-that this is just a moot point-you will never need a 3.4!
Watch the mileage on the timing belt and keep up the regular maintenance-oil changes and so on.

wow someone finally gave me an answer. thanks a ton. now where on earth would you get one? ive been searching on google but i guess i dont know what to look for.

haha yeah im sure... mine is still running fine. im just hard on the engine so im planning for the future. most likely i wont need one for a LONG time (atleast i hope). I only got 115k on mine currently.

i heard rumors it was possible to fit a supra engine in a 4runner. n1 heard or done it?
