I was looking at driving on East Beach, but it's something like $200 for a season pass, which is too much for a day or two trip--any ideas how much a day/weekend pass is? I can't find pricing for that online.

I’m from RI. I live down in S Kingstown. I don’t know of any trails in RI. We do our off roading on East Beach. The sand trails are pretty decent and you can ride directly on the beach between Sept 15th and April 1st.

I’m not sure what the three days pass goes for these days. If you are a RI resident, the yearly pass is $100. It’s worth it. If you like a little solitude once in a while, it’s great. We go down with friends and have some great cookouts there.

Going to Woodstock, VT this weekend. I have a friend with a nice cabin way up some dirt roads. I will be exploring to find some old logging trails. One of these days we should try a meet. We just live in a heavily populated area where most older trails fall on private property or is against the law to 4x4. I heard there are some trails in western MA but since that is a 2 hour drive from the Boston area, I would rather hop over to ME, NH, or VT. I'm actually in S.NH and spend weekends north, so I'm not sure when I'd be able to get down there, but I thought driving on the beach was allowed in summer?

I'm in central Vermont. Lots of dirt roads but not much technical stuff. Haven't really had a chance to try out any of the goodies on my TRD Pro.
We are a 2 4Runner family. My 2005 lasted until 2013 when I traded for a Ford F350 diesel to pull my 5th wheel and carry my truck camper. This spring we became 4Runner fans again buying 2 new rigs in 3 days.
