A brief update; I've done a couple of road trips on my load range E 285/70R17s and have continued to be impressed with the low noise levels. At 70MPH, they're not really noticeable, which is fantastic.
An insider posted earlier in this thread that these tires use some kind of innovative rubber compound. I can say that these tires still smell like cow manure after 2.5 months whenever you're within 10ft of the vehicle. The tires also turn an unreal blue after washing the truck from contact with either the minerals in the water or the car washing chemicals. The blue fades after 24hrs and is gone after 48hrs. Either way - evidence that these things are made of something different than any other tire I've had on my many 4WD vehicles.
Hopefully will have off road feedback in the coming months.

First off, thanks to all for sharing their pics and impressions. It's a solid move and huge help!
After reading tire reviews to the point of insanity, I pulled the trigger on these today from Discount Tire Direct. I went with the stock 265/70R17 in P metric flare. With Discounts sale price of $525 minus their 4th of July $75 rebate, I walked away with a set for just $450.
I don't climb rock and I don't tow heavy enough stuff to justify the trade off in LT tires. I'll report back on my impressions with pics, of course.

How is everyone liking the AT3W's? Talked to Discount Tire about i285/70/R17s and they guy tried to point me to their house branded Hankook RF10 under the Pathfinder name. I am not a fan of this particular shop as everything the one gentleman did was try and upsell or price extra options like disposal when not disposing any tires. I have another Discount Tire a few miles away who I love, always on the spot. I am getting the passenger rated tires. By the way when searching Pep Boys was having a sale on the LT version of this tire for only $166 per tire for those of you looking. Passenger version is $161 at discountiredirect. I would get the LT (58.9 pounds) but don't want to deal with the weight.
The Pathfinder tires are 43 pounds vs the 50 pound Falkens (non LT). The Falkens have a much better look in my opinion.
In any case I digress, going to put in an order today through Discount as they will honor the discounttiredirect price so any input is welcomed.

2k on mine (P265/70) and I love them. Great grip in everything I've had them on at any speed. Quiet
Had a chance this last weekend to take them off road and they gripped well in loose dirt/rocks

Great to hear Ninja. I think I am definitely going to order these. Wish they had a bit more snow feedback as that is important out here.

That was the only thing that made me hesitate when buying mine. Unfortunately, missed the snow season and Seattle doesn't get much. At $130/each it was worth the risk to me

I haven't put my new rubbers on yet since I was towing a lot and didn't want to break new tires in while pulling some heavy loads.
I, too, value the snow performance as much as every other element of the tire. With the mountain snowflake rating achieved, I have little fear about their snow performance. These treads are deep and aggressive, even on the P rated versions. Mine should be going on this week along with some Bilstein 5100s. Pics are coming soon.

Oh, and Fastboarder...I've had Discount Tire also try to push those Pathfinder tires. According to a friend who works for them, they apparently were receiving incentives for selling their branded product. I don't care for the look of them and I'm not impressed by their performance given the reviews I've read. You are wise to just skip on them and get what you want.

Bought a set of these and had them installed just prior to July 4th weekend. Took them on a camping/mountain trip and they did great on and off road. Love the look of them. Mine do rub with 265/70/17 and no lift, but I will be doing the lift here in a week or so and that problem will go away.

I'm sure they will be good in snow, but generally with a more aggressive tire you're more concerned about ice performance. A lot depends on the way the rubber reacts to cold temperatures (how much harder do they get?), as well as the amount of siping. These tires appear to have a good amount of siping (similar to the duratrac, which is recognized as a good winter performer), while the "all-weather" rating indicates that it is a softer rubber than your average tire.
That being said, I always like to repeat in these threads that nothing will beat a dedicated winter tire, but the all weather's are a good compromise if you don't want to run two sets of tires.

Hello Everyone, Just purchased my TR4 SR5 on 6/30 and actually had these tires installed on 7/11. I put about 800 miles on the stock Bridgestone tires before putting on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires. I love the tires so far. I can hear a little more road noise compared to the Bridgestones especially when cornering but it is minimal. The look is great and have had many compliments on them. Steering response is less and seems to wander more in the lanes.
Someone in a previous post mentioned that the tires stink, and they do put off a pretty strong tire smell. I don't mind the smell but the girlfriend is already complaining about it. I think it might have to do with the silica they use in the tire.
I installed the P tire in the stock size 265-70-17. No rubbing at all.
I will attach a quick picture I took last weekend but hopefully I will be able to get some better pics soon.

Really liking these AT3W. I have them in P285/70 17.
I wanted an aggressive looking 33" tire that performed well on road, had minimal mpg loss, relatively quiet, and good offroad performance. I got the P rated to keep the weight lower. I'm very happy with the aggressive tread design.
So far, I've put about 3,000 miles on them. I don't notice any difference in ride quality from the stock Dunlops. The car tells me I'm down about 1mpg in mostly city driving. If you factor in the 3.5% difference in circumference from stock when calculating mpg, the mpg loss is almost negligible. I'm also not very heavy footed around town.
Highway noise is low - a little more than the stock Dunlops, but I was expecting them to be much louder, so i'm very happy with that.
Had them offroad last week in Ocala. They performed well in the muddy, sandy conditions. I had no trouble keeping up with a Wrangler on 35" Trail Grapplers.
Regarding other comments about the smell, I did notice it to be strong at first (more than the usual new tire smell) but it is completely gone now.
They also do very well in the rain. Living in Florida, this was important to the wife and I.
All this combined with the fact that they were one of the least expensive 285/70s I came across, and it was a no-brainer.

Size-265/70R17 P METRIC
First Impressions:
Any new tire is going to impress over the old tires they're replacing. In my case, the Falkens are replacing the GoodYear Wrangler SR-A in the same size. I'm not easily dazzled by new tires. That being said, my initial impressions are good. They are definitely heavier than the tires they replaced. This is evident in the amount of pedal required to move the truck and the way I don't stay in the "Eco" range as much as I used to. No surprise there. They are a much more rugged tire with an aggressive tread. My MPG ratings, even on the P metric version in the identical size, is going to drop about 1 MPG, but probably less at this point. That's impressive considering I went from a highway tire to a nice all terrain.
I wanted an aggressive tire that still rides comfortably. These do just that. They are quite by any standard, but especially when you factor in the aggressive tread. I find myself riding around with my windows down and no music just to see if I reach a point of regretting my decision. I have not once done so. They are comfortable, they don't drift at all for me, and they are more than suitable for my everyday driving. I have added new suspension and I've had an alignment done as well. An alignment is essential when investing in new tires. That may play a role in how well the truck rides. Quite a few weights were added to balance the tires. We'll see what long term impact that has if any. I haven't taken them off roading yet, but I have little fear that I can tackle the laughable off-roading Illinois has to offer on these things. I am utterly impressed, and that's no easy task for me.
Now, onto the picture porn. I'll post more soon. I have since added some Bilstein 5100s for a little lift.

I put a set of P265/70R17 A/T3W on the 4Runner and logged about 100 miles or so, I'll echo what others have said in that they ride super smooth and are really quiet.
You can feel the additional weight from the tires slightly, but nothing you won't get used to in a week. Also, I haven't experienced the awful smell that others have mentioned before, mine don't smell any different than other new tires.

Here's a few more pics with the Blistein 5100s at 0.85. Stock 265/70R17 P Metric. I got a chance to do some light mudding yesterday unexpectedly. The tires crawled through some light mud perfectly and you would have never known you were in mud. I was impressed and in 2wd. I ride mine aired up to 40 psi for daily road riding. I find this pressure to be the perfect balance for ride quality and MPG.

I love mine, not really any complaints. ~5k miles on them. I was impressed when I had them offroad a couple weeks ago. At street pressure they got me where I needed to go. 2nd gen with lockers and ~35? was surprised I made it up a couple of the steeper hills (which I attribute largely to the Falkens)
They still look practically brand new, are super cheap and have performed well. 10/10 would buy again so far
I can hear a scrubbing sound when turning, but otherwise silent. My 265/70R17's ran bigger even than the BFG, so a little rubbing.
