Not sure why so many Toyota guys want the new Bronco to look like a replica of the Jeep and according to many of you if it did you would purchase it. Ford isn't moving backwards in the technology department with any of their vehicles. They will market the new bronco as a offroad capable vehicle equal or superior to a jeep or 4 runner. It will ride like a well behave modern SUV (no solid front axle) on the road, perfect for a mall crawler not for you offroad purists. It will get better fuel economy than any Jeep or 4 runner while power will be better too. Similar to the explorer in fuel and on the road ride yet better offroad. It will be perfect for those who are ford loyalists who don't care about proven reliability and resale value. Those offroad purists well you need to do what all of us do, build your own rig. My 2018 4runner TRD is good offroad vehicle but does compete with my 96 runner on the trail. But then again why would i want to damage a 45k vehicle taking it in situations my 96 goes. How would i repair broken parts on the 18 like the 96? True trail platforms will truly be built in older vehicles due to ease of parts, durability of those platforms and flexibility in making it exactly what you want it to be. If any you want the ford bronco to be something you can get fully behind on the trail good luck with that. Ford is better at marketing than producing reliable platforms on the road let alone offroad.
