hello everyone i just purchased a 1984 4runner i won't get it for another month when my dad brings it down from nc. this isn't my first adventure with toyota i have/had a 93 pickup project that i started and just ran out of cash to finish and has been sitting for awhile. i had done a sas and long travel shock mounting location and installed a all pro offrad tubed bed. then about a year or so ago i started looking to try and finish or find a 4runner since i have a decent sized family now. its going to be fun as soon as i get it here i will put up a bunch of pics

as far as i know its good it is still in north carolina waiting for my dad to deliver it next month. he says it runs great clutch and transmission seem to be good. he said the body has seen better days but i don't trust his opinion that much lol

will do! it will be brought down, then i gotta go back up and remove all the parts that i want off my 93 sas truck i was building so i can have extras and take those springs and put on the 4runner so i can get rid of the 2 inch blocks and add a leaf. so when its all said and done it will be around 10 inches of lift with the shackles and body lift. and I'm in sarasota so ill be visiting RYC some

That's a size able lift. I see a few 1st gen in Jax, but not many. Looking forward to seeing the build.

Yea should be interesting and slow lol just want to get it functional and make it last until my kids can tear it up I guess lol

Well it looks like I'll have a bit of work ahead of me my main hunt is going to be with some interior peices and new rear quarters and to try and find or repair the drivers rocker pannel but o well they starting to petty hard to find

Wow! Looks like you have your work cut out. If you were closer I'd be happy to lend a hand. On rare occasions I see 1st gens being parted out in n FL. Do a search on searchtempest - it's a wide searching Craigslist engine.

From what I can tell most of my work is going to be on the passenger side of the truck I got extra doors and front fenders that are in good shape so I'm ready to get it here lol
