New from Houston Texas!

Hey guys, my name is Norman and im from houston. I've had an 06 4runner sr5 v8 for almost a year now and i've decided to mod it as much and as best as i can. i've been in the import car seen for a while now (93 civic-sold, 95 nissan 240sx-sold, and 06 bmw 325i sport-totaled :sobbing but due to some difficult times, i cant have another car right now. But that doesnt stop me from modding what i drive and i really like this 4runner so i hope to learn as much as i can from this forum!

Welcome Norman! It's nice to hear from a fellow sport-import fan (on top of being into 4Runners). I used to have a pretty sweet '91 Integra that I decked out the suspension to where it was outrageous in the corners--unfortunately, it was sold a while back to "thin out the herd", so to speak. Keep us abreast of the mods on the truck, and by all means, include some pics! Have fun!

I'll always be a North side guy, I'm actually from Tomball. (249 - north of willowbrook mall...)

Welcome, Nathan! Fellow Houstonian here- name's Oscar. Uh, quick intro- all up until marriage:redbrick: (kidding!), it was always the racing imports- started years back with an 88 CRX si (heavily mod'd), 93 Civic (heavily mod'd), 91 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 (nicely mod'd), '94 & '96 Preludes SI's, and ended with an '01 Miata (extremely heavy and expensive mods)-- all gone. Loving my 2nd 4Runner though! Started with a '98 SR5, and wanted a little more comfort and luxury so sold it and went for the '98 Limited, and now I look at the little "racers" and just smile as they whiz by (knowing I could easily run them over- LOL!):roadkill:. Only problem, now I want to DITCH the "luxury" and grab a 4WD- but homeownership obligations are tying up the funds for the new purchase **DA*MMIT!! Haha

There is an abundance of knowledge on this forum. buddy, and you will find so many other useful links, DIY mods (if that's your thing), and even make a few good friends along the way. So enjoy the ride, my friend!

Thanks oscar and by the way my name is Norman not Nathan lol! but its all good and thanks. DIY mods is my thing but first i need to find out what i want to do with my runner. its a 2wd so im not so sure about lifting it, and since i've been into the import car scene for so long, and since i have actually found lowering springs for 4runners, going the lower route catches my attention a bit more... but we'll see. so far all i have are h.i.d kits on head and fog lights, a pioneer double din head unit with a 10in kicker sub, and a custom Magnaflow exhaust... honestly, i kinda want to see how much power i could get out of this runner! and give trail blazer ss and srt8 cherokee's a run for their money... but all in good time.
