New from MO

Hey everyone. I made the plunge and signed on the line 20 times and drove home in my first 4runner, my first Toyota, my first suv, my first 4wd, my first white vehicle, my first newish vehicle. Pretty darn excited. I made a few posts about whether I should jump on the deal or not and I saw swayed by a few members with hardly more posts under their belt than me. Lol guess I was just looking for someone besides myself to say yes you should do it. So here it is

It's a 2016 trail premium w kdss. It belonged to a guy that traveled for work so it alreadyp has 55,000 miles on it. I bought an extended warranty with it. 4yr/48k miles $100 deductible, came with 7yr of paint and interior warranty. Immediate plans are to do some cosmetic things; the obvious required blacking out of badges and bumpers and roof rack, yellow vinyl on the fogs, window tint, upgrade lighting(probably led headlights) don't know all the options for fogs yet, and paint the wheels. Down the road I will do lift/level kit, wheels and tires, Baja/gobi style roof rack, upgrade sound system. And that's probably about it.

I am a travel nurse so I'll eventually have the opportunity to take it on some cool adventures depending on where my assignments take me. I have never don't any off-roading so it'll be pretty basic stuff if I do. But I can't wait to get out there and have fun.

I also like to kayak, snowboard, and build and race drift cars so I'm super happy to have a nation cruiser that I can modify.

Here's a picture of it but it just looks like a stock trail so nothing really to see. Any advice or comments are welcome.

Nice one

Congrats. I have the same one 2017 though. No KDSS. If you dont mind with that vehicle being 1 year old with 55000 miles what did you pay for it?? You dont hqve to say if you dont want to. Just curious on the resale value once mine hits that mileage.

Thanks!

It was 32,950. The kdss definitely adds some value. But I do think this was a good price even for the miles. Thanks for the congratulations

Welcome from a fellow Missourian! Always been big fans of the white 5th gens. You'll be glad you purchased the vehicle. If you need a place to help with your build, we know a guy... :hello: . There is also a great local group called Mo4wd that we tend to get out a wheel with. If you have Facebook, search there and you'll find the group. Great local group!

Thanks! I'll check out the group. Won't be spending much time in Missouri anymore though. Hopefully we'll be on the road for next 5 years.

Welcome to the forums! Did I read that you build and race drift cars as well? Please share photos!

Thanks everyone. Got the plasti dip out and the lamin-x for the fogs. Got hid's for the low beams And led's for the fogs coming. Went and got it titled today and look at the plate they gave me!!! Lol what the heck

Cool stuff. You sound like an adventurous person! If you like drifting, imagine hitting long trails with dirt for miles and obstacles to dodge. The Toyota will take you anywhere you want to go.

Congrats, I'm only 100 miles north of STL. The white looks really sharp, great color choice. I think it'll be a great vehicle for you. I'd recommend getting some new rubber before you hit any trails too hard, I bought a set of trail wheels with the Duellers on them and took it out to SW Colorado and wheeled it and the sidewalls got chewed up pretty quick from easy to moderate trails. Plus KO2s look sick on white 4Runners!

Just drove past these today. Would be nice to have a new one, but my '04 will do me for now. Big car payments scare me....

Welcome

Hey congrats on the new whip! I’m new to the forum and local in STL as well! We should get the white rigs out together sometime.
