Just picked up my 2001 4Runner SR5 last week. Looking forward to tinkering with it and getting out to explore. Pretty new to off roading in general but eager to learn. If anyone has any favorite YouTubers or info please post up!

My 4Runner has 285k, 4x4, auto.

Guess I should mention my plans.

Looking at running 32's/33s with a 2" lift. Kind of want the ARB front bumper, but thinking about switching to a non-fat lip bumper and adding the frame mounted shackle points. But that ARB bumper is pretty cool, lol.
 
I'm new here as well from Florida.

I see there is a minimum post count before threads can be made.

What is the threshold? I'm trying to turn a 2016 2wd Expedition into a 4wd 4Runner.

I've owned sequoias, but am oblivious on the little brother.
 
Hey all! I'm a mom of 2 with a 2017 SR5 with 3 rows. My only plans for my 4R are stuffing it with car seats, strollers, and camping gear. And maybe one day towing a pop-up camper or possibly figuring out an overland camping situation. :)

Welcome and congrats from PA. My Daughter and BF Live in OKC. They've been lookin at 4runners. I told her she could have my 3rd gen. But there were stipulations.... lol .
 
Dang I dropped the ball. Hello to all the other new people! This place has been a wealth of info.

Got my lower ball joints (LBJs) done. My alternator tanked so I did the 140A alt. Got some 31” Wildpeak AT3s with some steel wheels.

Got the hidden winch mount from AmpdUpLLC and hopefully the Badlands 12k goes on sale for Friday but if not I’ll grab it anyways.

Otherwise I’ve been replacing worn/broke/missing items.

It’s a weekend warrior for me. Just glad to have something to tinker with.
