Hey guys although I am new to the forum I am not new to the 4runner or Toyota, here is a bit of a background story. Used to have a 95 years ago when I lived in Ontario, wow was it ever a solid machine. I sold it and since moved to Alberta. last year I picked up a 1986 Landcruiser as a project vehicle but it turns out it would of just been a major money pit so I stopped while I was ahead and not in it a couple grand. Decided to sell that truck too.
Now the wife and I just picked up a decent condition 1998 V6 SR5 with a manual transmission to replace one of our VW's as we kinda need an SUV back home seeing as we like to go off the beaten trail and also need something that can occasionally pull a single horse trailer.
We actually picked it up in Ontario since we're here on holidays and I'm in the process of getting her ready for the drive back home. All fluids changed, and a new parking brake cable installed. Its all it needed so far. Its sitting at 297,000 KM's but runs great. Hopefully I don't get too many problems down the road with it being such a high mileage engine.
I will update later on with some pics. Now I must get back to work and bolt everything back together after a much needed interior shampooing! I look forward to spending the next couple years on this forum at least until we upgrade to an FJ down the road.
