Got my first 4Runner ( first toyota 4x4 as a matter of fact) it is an 06 SR5 4x4 4.0 V6. I am loving the truck so far. I have had many different 4x4's over the years starting with a Jeep J4000. My question is are there problems I should be on the look out for? Or any thing that requires more than just general maintenance inherent to all 4x4's.

Welcome to the world of Toyota 4Runners.
I'm no stranger to Jeeps myself, I had a CJ-5 and an XJ.
But right now I have 3 Toyota 4WD's in the driveway.
General maintenance is a good place to start, like replacing all the fluids - trans, t-case, diffs, coolant, brakes, engine oil, etc.
And maybe a tuneup. Also. depending on mileage you may be due for a timing chain (or belt, I can't remember which for the 4.0).

I have 88k on the truck It was an one owner that was serviced at Toyota all the way down to having a new Toyota battery in it. It will be needing new tires soon will 265/70/17 fit without a lift? I am planning on putting a leveling kit in it. I just don't get the nose down stance that they come with. I am not looking to build a mud truck out of it but I want it to be able to do light off road and get into hunt camp after it rains.
