I don't know how I have never stumbled across this forum until now, but it is pretty awesome, so I signed up. I'm 24, just graduated from UNCC and work as a firefighter/EMT and also run my own sign/decal business. My first 4Runner is an 87 that I bought a couple years ago with hopes to turn it into an awesome SAS rock crawler. I quickly realized I don't have time at this point in my life to build a dedicated rock crawler, so about I week ago I picked up a nice 96 model and put the 87 up for sale.
87 SR5: 22re/5 speed, power everything, sunroof, 31" BFGs on fake beadlocks
96 SR5: 3.4/5 speed, Sonoran Steel lift w/ 2" body lift, rear e-locker with Inchworm wiring, Addicted Offroad front bumper/Smittybilt XRC8, LC Engineering clutch, flywheel and shift kit, KMC wheels/wore out Mickey Thompson MTZs
Luckily the guy that I bought the 96 from had pretty good tastes so I can just pick up where he left off for the most part. I've already ordered the black headlights and markers, HIDs, and LED replacement bulbs. I'm going to build my own sliders but I'm not sure about the back bumper, I'll probably just buy that if I can find one I like.
