New Guy from northern california 4th Gen Runner

New guy here from northern california.
I have always wanted a to pick up a 4runner. I had a 1982 4x4 pickup that I restored on 33" Toyo Mt's
I sold it and have regretted it everyday since.
So after many months of looking for the right 4runner we finally found a 2003 that we plan on keeping for a long time.
It is a 4x4 V8 Limited, Metallic Mica Gray exterior, and granite trim interior.
we didnt originally want leather but it was a pretty good price for California.
has 125k miles and is very clean, runs so quiet for a v8, Im used to a noisy 7.3l diesel.
I also went in to the toyota dealership and obtained service records since new.

How many miles are usually seen on out of these engines when they are maintained well?
Is 125k miles considered high mileage?
Are spacer lifts still compatible with the Xreas?
Still have a lot of reading to do on here.

Congrats on the new ride, looks clean. 125k is nothing, should be able to double that just fine if you take care of it well.
Spacer lift should be compatible, but I'd ditch the xreas for new suspension all the way around.

Don't mean threadjack here, but who's the extended cab Tacoma with the Relentless Fabrication sticker in Chico? I always see that taco down the street from me.... or is it you?

haha it's pretty noticeable in town. My friend who used to have a double cab red tacoma on 35's just bought my exact truck and put it on the same wheels and on 35's too and he's about to do a solid axle swap on it. So sometime within the next year, there will be 2 matching 4runners lol.

Chase me down and say hey if you guys see me around. Drive by and give me the finger or something

What's the truck look like? Might know who it is, but it's not me. I rarely head down toward Chico. Typically either up here in the sierras, or down around the Bay Area.

Pretty sure it's black... 2nd gen extended cab taco Has some LED's on the front. Relentless Fab sticker on the back drivers side window. Small lift, on 33's i think. Nothin crazy but clean truck.

Ya I plan on keeping the 7.3L a long time it only has 110k miles, its been a great truck, last of the "simple diesels".

Hopefully the new runner will be reliable to with good maintenance.

The Navistar 7.3 was a great motor, much better than the 6.0 . The 4rnr will be very reliable. I love the look of the regular cab trucks, so old school.
