New guy from SoCal

Hey everyone! I am TOPDECK and a new guy around here. Just picked up my TE 2 days ago. I am here to get info on upgrades and mods and have a good time with ya'll. My TE is a 2011 fully loaded with factory nav.

Here is my "black sheep". I call it the black sheep because everyone else in my family has had Land Cruisers, and have had them since forever. I was even conceived in a 1979 FJ40. LOLOL So a 4Runner is definitely going against the grain!

Here she is on top of Santiago Peak. Bone stock:

You're not going against the grain--you were "born" to be in a Toyota! Which particular model is just details. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I failed to mention in my last post that I bought this vehicle to drive to the top of Alaska to the Arctic Ocean in March LOL! I am sick of sitting in my office so we are setting out on a 10,000 mile adventure. I will make a thread with updates and videos to come. We leave in just over a month.

I Have lots of 4x4 experience, but any tips and suggestions for overland adventures in Alaska are welcome!

You BETTER post up pics from a trip like that (LOL), because that's one of my "dream" drives! I've always thought of that as one of the ultimate adventures, driving up through Alaska. Hopefully some day I can do the same in my rig. Enjoy the trip!

There will be lots of pictures and videos including product reviews and write-ups. We are setting up a website for the trip as well to show the modifications to the vehicle and its outfitting for the trip.

We are currently negotiating with sponsors.
