My wife and I went to the toyota dealership to test drive the new Rav4 because it is fast if you get the 6 cyl and we need 4 wheel drive for the winter. Next to it was a 4runner, it was like a magnet pulling me towards it. My wife was pissed that the milage was not very good. She test drove the rav4 with me in the back seat. Seemed like a nice car, bit small and the wind noise at highway speeds seemed a little loud.
I made her test the 4runner next, had a lot of room, was very pleasent at high way speeds, less noise then the rav. The V8 had a bit of a deep growl. She really did like the 4runnner better, just a little worried about the gas prices. I really want the 4runner.
On the way home I told her that crash testing was good, and it is a heavy vehicle so it will do much better against a lighter car if we had a accident. That was the ticket, tell a woman why the car you want is safer and she will go for it!
My next post I hope will be in september when we sign on the dotted line. Hope we can purchase this soon, I am so worried she will change her mind. I just need gas prices to hang steady and I will be ok. Hope the 07runnner still has nautical blue as a color choice. I told her that we can get through the deepest snow storms in this, the rav is just not heavy duty 4 wheel drive.
I keep working on her, you know safety, and dont worry it will get you home if it snows hard, and it is always in 4 wheel drive so dont worry. Wish me luck next post will be after contract is signed.
