I just picked up this '94 a couple weeks ago. I've been browsing this forum for that couple weeks and found some good info. The only thing I've done is put some wheels and tires on it. It's a daily so thats all I will probably do to her for now. Besides I've got another project I want to complete first. Check it out and tell me what you think.

When I bough it

sweet ride.. how much do BFG A/T's cost in the states?
too much for my high school student budget. i think they run around 140$ a tire

Thanks, the bug is low, and I like it low. I got the suspension and engine I want in the bug, next is just cosmetic.

I picked up the wheels, Rocker Crawler 15's and the bfg's 31x10.5 as a package from Tirepackage.com

Once I bought everything, wheels tires mounted and balance, new set of lugnuts, and shipped to my door for 700.00 dollars

I think the tires were about 125 each, but they had a special if you bought all four you would get 60.00 off, and the wheels were 49.95 each

wow 700$ for rim and tire. thats really good deal. i got a quote on Les Schwabs brand MT and it was going to run about 600 just for the tire....
what size tires you runnin? 31/10.5's?

Nice! Hey did it come with those dice? What a differnece a set of rims and tires can make. Oh and Sup new guy welcome to the family!

Hey did it come with those dice?

I've always hung the fuzzy dice on all my cars, since my first one. Just something stupid I like to do!

and on my previous post I meant 3 3/4 backspacing

nice truck, i like your rims too. looks like you need to get some new coils in the rear otherwise it might start riding as low as the bug! iv got a project bug too (sort of, its my girlfriends, but im taking it over). it need a new wiring harness and new carb and it should be ready for some off road fun (i dont think it will ever be street legal)

I like the wheel and tire combo! but yeah like he said your rear seems to be saggin quite a bit. you can pick up a set of "old man emu" rear springs for cheap and it will not only fix the sag but also lift it about an inch and 3/4

That is one serious baja, and looks like it will definitely be a fun buggy. What engine you running in it? My bug has a 1600dp with a 110 cam CB racing heads, and a single 44 weber. Nothing too huge, but she's definitely not slow. Could kick my 4runners ass off the line, but thats really not saying much.

I did notice the rear sag, where can I get those emu coils?

i actually dont know very much about the bug, my gf bought it pretty much as is. i do know the engine is from an early to mid 70s vanagon. we managed to get it to start last summer by jumping the battery and giving the starter a love tap, but it didnt get very far b/c of the bad carb. what i know for sure is its in need of some serious work, esp electrical. as for your saggy truck, id look on www.trdparts4u.com , thats where i picked up my entire lift kit, but they do sell the coils separately.

You got a nice truck, cogratulations! Good rims and tyres too.
But the rear seems to have sagged a little.
Mine had this problem too, and the previous owner installed some spacers on top of the rear springs, it helped a lot and was cheap. The ride is fine.

Thanks for all the compliments on my truck. I'm looking into spacers or coils to get rid of the rear sag.

If anyone wants my stock wheels, I only have 3, and only 1 with a center cap. I used one as a spare, because the truck didn't have the spare when I bought it. The tires are pretty much no good

I live in Central California around Bakersfield, Come and get 'em and they are yours...I just don't want to store them in my backyard.
