Looking to buy her Autostart for her 4runner

Hello, My wife owns a 2006 4runner. For xmas I would love to get her a car starter since she is up early and travels alot for work. I am looking to purchase the Python 1401 Kit. I am confused on the Transponder bypass. We only have one key for the truck and the budget is tight. Could someone please direct me to a place that sells a good bypass kit that doesn't require the second key.. I have look but I do not know what is what. Also is the car starter and bypass all that is required..

i can't help you directly here, but i do have remote start on mine (i use it a lot less than i thought i would) and all i need to do is press lock, unlock, lock and it starts.

i didn't have to use a key to get this to work. i did it through benchmark motoring in bellevue, WA. you may want to give them a call and talk to Justin Kairis. i know it exists. sorry i can't be of more help.

My wife has used the spare key on every car I've had her in. Since I travel a lot it's peace of mind to have a spare well hidden to keep her and the kids out of a jamb. Just something to think about.

I'm looking at putting a remote start on my 4R, doing it myself, probably in a few weeks. I'll use my spare key in a bypass and hide my valet key outside.

Ouch, $75. The bypass keybox is $10-20, so price out a new key and think about the benefits of each solution. I paid over $200 to get two new keys when my 4R came with only a valet key, worth it to me.

get the XPRESSKIT.. i have it for my Viper 5901 alarm... it copies the code of the key so it will allow for the remote start without leaving a key in the car. it will work with your python because DEI manufactures Viper, Clifford, Python etc..

I agree. I have an Avital 4300 remote start with the XK05. Works great everytime.
