Just bought a 1997 4runner SR5 from my next door neighbor last week and have lots of plans. All my google searches brought me to threads here so I figured I better go ahead and register! The truck has 136k miles and has recently had new brakes, new tires, belts (including timing), water pump, intake gasket, a/c compressor (twice as the second one locked up too). Already purchased a B&M transmission cooler, went with the larger once due to the climate here in Texas. Plan to snag a 2.5" Daystar (strictly a mall crawler), and remove the running boards but I need to figure out what I need to buy to fill the end caps. Anyways, looking forward to reading lots of information and sharing any knowledge I may have.

New 1st Gen Owner/ New to forums
So far so good im fresh to the yota world and purchased an 87 4runner 22re 5speed 4x4. I already love this thing just a few minor set backs which brought me to you guys. First I need to replace the front half shafts because the axle boots are torn and have no grease in them so thats my first task simply because at a full lock I hear some creaking and dont want anything to snap on me. Second I need to know if anyone has ever installed a/c into one of these bad boys (it has some sort of "blower" if you will because the heater works great. . Im curious what I lack to get her blowing cold because im pretty sure there is no compressor, condensor, ac lines, ect. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated simply because im in central Texas and we are seeing triple digit heat daily and it won't get better for a few months. Thanks guys look forward to helping where I can and the feedback!

Haha thanks for the welcome. I'm still not really sure why I bought the thing but I absolutely couldn't pass it up at $2,000. I'm enjoying it so far, scheduled an appointment to have the suspension recall completed this week at the local stealership.
