Hello All,
Just purchased a 91 4runner 4X4 V6. Glad to find this site. I've been a lurking for a couple weeks now and have found answers to countless questions, and have tons more. My first truck was a 89 4runner(why did I let that go?!?!?!?!) and could'nt pass this one up when my wife's friend sold it for 2 grand. Can't wait to start hitting trails. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. If anyone lives in the annapolis area, drop me a line. I'd like to find a maintenance partner. I enjoy doing my own work, and it's nice to help, or have help sometimes.

Down the road

Seems we're in the same boat. I just picked up a '91 Runner.

I'm right down the road from you in Owings. Calvert County.

Just finished putting in a new exhaust system, rotors, drums, idler arm, new hub bearings and races, and front brakes. Hopefully tonight I'll finish everything up bleeding the brake system. Head Gaskets I'll probably tackle next month.

Good Question

Until I get it all apart it's impossible to predict. Depends on condition of the heads, if I encounter problems removing the exhaust manifolds, etc.

The car is going to be my main driver, but I have other cars so I'm not pinched to complete the job in a weekend.

Right now, these brakes are giving me fits. Soft pedal after bleeding, so I replaced the master cyl. Once I get that bled I'll see if I need to do calipers and wheel cylinders. If not now...
