Hello everyone
today I drove home my new (to me) 4runner
2000 SR5 Silver, tan leather, automatic, sunroof. 144k
was a trade in. All service, repairs and even oil changes were done at the dealer. 31k ago it had new timing belt, pulleys, seals, h20, plugs, v/c gaskets all accessory belts. In January it got a new starter. march got new rotors and pads. Clean carfax, Got to see a lot of the records, name folded over, briefly, since it had another persons name on them, I could not keep them. Has wild country tires that are about half gone
The dealer was about 90 miles from my home, and the yota did great coming home
From what I have read, one of the first preventative things Ill do is get a new radiator, don't want the pink milkshake, did not see any records saying any of the diffs oil or tranny fluid has been changed

SInce I drive in snow lot, the only things it does not have that I wish it did was heated seats and a locking diff


Other than the dealer manuals, are the Haynes ones good for this car or is there a better one ?

awesome, I have not decided whats a better route. The external Transmission cooler or just replace the radiator. Both do different things and a radiator isnt to much more than the external cooler. just more work I guess.

locker is not a good thing in the snow, so no worries on that. I feel the locker is more style points than anything since Ive done some gnarly stuff with out it. Just air down and take your time.
