First time poster, long time reader(sort of). My son just bought his first car-one owner 86 4runner, 120,000 med blue/"autumn rust". Tops never even been off this thing! Runs and drives but charging light comes on and ammeter is bottomed out. Previous owner actually just had new alternator put on and the light didn't come on til the next day. Tightened up battery cables already. Another problem- no "blinking" with turn signals. Any suggestions? Looking forward to sharing our story and using your expertise.
